I was disabled with fibromyalgia in my early thirties while juggling career, house-building and a failing marriage. I would wake up at night crying because every bone in my body ached with pain. I was exhausted, depressed and even suicidal. Even during my darkest days, however, I had hope that one day, I would heal. I could not bear the thought of living disabled for the rest of my life.
